A Fun Family Adventure in Patagonia

A Fun Family Adventure in Patagonia
The Eden family came to us with a request - they wanted to visit their son Dan in South America. Dan had spent the last few months traveling around Chile and the rest of the family decided there was no time like the present! With just a month of time to plan we discussed a few options and a custom trip to Patagonia won out (as it often does). The E...

The Zimmerman family connecting in Cuba.

The Zimmerman family connecting in Cuba.
Considering travel to Cuba? Check out this trip review and travel tips with images from the Zimmerman family, 5x alumni travelers having been on Wildland Adventures to Costa Rica, Patagonia, India, Kenya and Peru. They asked us if we could arrange a short weekend-to-weekend adventure to Cuba with their adult son and his partner. They viewed this custom trip to Cuba as their first of more adventures to the island so they decided to stay together as a family in an apartment and focus exclusively on exploring Havana in depth. Jeff was specifically interested in pursuing his interest in drumming and everyone in the family wanted to learn all about Cuba. They also wanted to have time for independent exploration beyond the people-to-people guided connections we planned for them each day. Their trip review will give you a good idea of what to expect on our custom adventures to Cuba designed according to each......

Get Ready for an Incredibly Special Experience in Bhutan - Family Guest Review

Get Ready for an Incredibly Special Experience in Bhutan - Family Guest Review
A three generation family of intrepid travelers recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Bhutan with nothing but glowing reviews for the land of the thunderdragon. Sabra, Hawkins, and Indigo are an active family who were looking to travel to Bhutan to experience the culture of this remote mountain kingdom, go hiking in the foothills of the Himalayas, and immerse themselves in Buddhism. They found all this and more as you can see from their comments below: Please comment on the enthusiasm, professionalism, or other qualities of your local guides:Sherab Zangmo- who my son named "Sherif" the first day - was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgable, full of interesting information, always enthusiastic, made adjustments according to our needs, took great care of us - no words can express our gratitude for her. We loved her and highly recommend her! Superb. Our guide and driver became like family. They were informative,......

Your kids called... they want to go to Belize for the Holidays!

Your kids called... they want to go to Belize for the Holidays!
As the sunny days linger it’s hard to believe that summer is drawing to a close, but the shrinking daylight tells us that a new season is upon us. Back to school means the holidays are just barely over three months away. Lucky for you, we have space reserved for your family trip to Belize. The sun is ready to warm you up, and the accommodations will be more comfortable than home. Best of all, rather than take in all those extra holiday calories at home, work them off on your active Belizean holiday!  You don’t get any closer to the Belizean rainforest than you do while staying in your private treehouse on our Jungle Tree House and Reef Adventure! From your personal treetop perch at the Caves Branch Jungle Lodge you can experience the tropics like Indiana Jones - caving, rappelling, ziplining, inner tubing, exploring ancient Mayan ruins and more.  You......

Piranha Fishing & Machu Picchu

Piranha Fishing & Machu Picchu
This Wild family of three just returned from a custom adventure to Machu Picchu and the Amazon.  After hiking a segment of the Inca Trail, getting a taste of Peru’s cutting edge culinary delights, mountain biking through the highlands and ending piranha fishing in the Amazon, they had quite a few stories to share! “Gretchen, thanks to you and the entire Wildland Adventures team, we enjoyed a fantastic vacation!  Started off very well with your recommendation and subsequent reservation at Casa Moreyra, Astird & Gaston in Lima for our first amazing dinner (Astird introduced herself and we had a very nice chat J).   Accommodations, activities and most importantly, the Wildland Adventures representatives, drivers and naturalists/guides throughout our Peruvian adventure were top-notch!   Today alone, I’ve mentioned/recommended Wildland Adventures multiple times to friends at work. Top on my list; Piranha fishing, mountain biking, Inca Trail to Sun Gate & Huayna Picchu/Wayna Picchu.    ......
