Enjoy Your Room With More Than A View

Posted by on
We just received a review from a guest recently returning from their custom Wildland Adventure in Patagonia. They couldn't get into the luxury Eolo Lodge by the time they planned their trip so we set them up at the all-inclusive Alta Vista, another one of our favorites near the Moreno Glacier in Argentina. She made the observation that they wish they had more time to enjoy Alta Vista..."it's expensive and it's beautiful, we wanted to experience it more."
Hosteria Alta Vista is a small, authentic home and working estancia between
Calafate and Los Glaciares National Park for your Patagonia vacation.
This seven-room hosteri√≠a was built by Yugoslav pioneers in 1920 as part of Estancia Anita, the area's largest working sheep farm. Its secluded setting in the Patagonian steppe is only 22 miles from El Calafate and a short drive to the spectacular Moreno Glacier. Like many of the estancias and boutique Argentine hosterias and luxury properties we use, they all offer a variety of activities besides the hikes and glacier walks and kayak excursions around Los Glaciares National Park. At Alta Vista the manager will take you bird watching (including plenty of condor), the handy man will show you a great place to ride mountain bikes, one of the gauchos will take you riding or to hike across the Pampa offering a steak sandwich in the field for lunch, or you might want to check out their Estancia Anita, a fully working sheep ranch where you can see gauchos sheering their livestock (especially in December up to 22,000 sheep are being sheared).
Ride horseback with gauchos overlooking the glaciers,
lakes and pampas on our Patagonia adventures.
When you travel to Patagonia with Wildland Adventures we'll send you in style with stays at sophisticated and luxurious hotels, well-appointed boutique accommodations full of charm, working fincas rich in history and culture, luxury tent camps in Torres del Paine, historical colonial homes and authentic Andean lodges with spectacular mountain views. If you are planning a private custom trip, we'll help you determine some of the best places to build in a little extra time where we know you'll especially enjoy the local culture, exquisite dining, and time to kick back and soak in the quintessential wild frontier with the isolation that lured Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when they were on the run 100 years ago. Staying a boutique accommodation in Patagonia woul...

Staying a boutique accommodation in Patagonia would be such a great way to get the full experience from the region. I can't wait to the day I get to see Patagonia in person.
