Far From The End

Posted by on

If you are reading this chances are the world didn't end today! But it did provide a chance to poke fun at all this end of the world junk. These are a few of my favorites I've seen.

We also had some fun with this at Wildland and ran a survey asking people where they would go if the world was really going to end. And the winner goes to....... a safari in Africa was the overwhelming favorite, with trekking in Patagonia coming in second and seeing tigers in India sneaking into third place.

Now with all this rubbish out of the way, it's a good time to start planning for the future. Even though all of this end of the world stuff was pretty ridiculous, it does get you thinking that life is too short and who knows... maybe a fiery asteroid might just come hurtling at earth one day. When I got asked "Where would I go if the world was really coming to an end?" My instant reaction was hiking in Patagonia and then I started thinking more and more about it... Why haven't I gone? What am I waiting for? And it hit me, there isn't any reason not to go now! It's tuff to plan such a big trip with how busy we all get, but this year my New Year's resolution is to go to Patagonia! Hopefully our South American Program Director Kirsten will help me plan it, but believe me when I say I'm going!!!!!!

your friendly adventurer,

Jonathan Burnham

What's your New Year's resolution? Leave a comment and let me know! I always love to hear where other people want to explore.
