Hiking in Patagonia - End of the World

Posted by on
I got asked where would I go if the world was really coming to an end December 21, 2012.

This could possibly be the toughest question to ask someone whose passion is adventure travel. I pondered between choosing somewhere new or returning to a place that I love for a while and I have to give in to my desire for exploration and go somewhere new. If it was truly the end of the world I would go hiking in Patagonia. I’ve spent my whole life dreaming about it, so why not take advantage of my last chance to see it. I would go because I love the mountains and Patagonia has some of the most gorgeous ones you can find. To see and climb Cordillera del Paine in Torres del Paine National Park would be quite the way to go out. I would want to bring my Dad who instilled my dream of going to Patagonia and my dog Bella, because she loves to hike with me. If I could bring one item, it would be my Ananta Pullover Hoodie by Sherpa, it is the warmest and most comfortable thing I own. If I could guess how the end of the world is going to happen, I would say it is going to be by a meteorite. In that case it would be awesome to be in such a beautiful, peaceful and pristine place to see that ball of fire hurtling towards earth.

Luckily for me I know our Patagonia Program Director Kirsten Gardner would let me know the best places to see while I was there.
