Romantic Travel to Costa Rica

Posted by on

Planning honeymoons can be a lot of fun! As Wildland Adventures Central America Program Director I do a lot of custom trip planning, but for honeymoons it’s always an even more personal experience directing travelers to the most romantic destinations and planning their dream romantic getaway! I think it is very important to get to know the person planning the honeymoon in order to understand their dreams and expectations of the perfect honeymoon.

A “Wild Style” honeymoon is more than a romantic getaway. You not only enjoy solitude, fun and relaxation, but we create opportunities for introspection that allow couples to pause and connect on a deeper level. Not only will you feel the charge of your own connectedness, but our intention is to help you create memories of a shared vision of our interconnectedness to nature and humanity, to a life that is much greater than us. In this way we create memories on your Wildland honeymoon adventure that will always be a touchstone in your new life together.

I have been planning trips to Costa Rica for honeymooners, anniversaries, romantic getaways, families and friends for almost two decades, and the fact that I live here and travel frequently to inspect accommodations, visit all the parks and wildlife reserves, and to acquaint myself with local communities assures you won’t find a more knowledgeable, capable and personable expert to plan your honeymoon! Like you, I’m also an active and adventurous traveler who can advise you on all the exciting activities there are in my native country.

Rafting the Pacuare River
I love to bike!
Costa Rica is a playground where you can do lots of varied activities including: rafting, ziplining, biking, trekking, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, etc, etc. One of my favorite special moments I've planned for a couple was flying to a remote rainforest in Tortuguero National Park to help a couple on their low budget wedding by decorating the path to the altar in the rainforest myself with heart shaped palm leaves and dozens of paper bags with candle lights. Together the bride and I created a lovely bridal wreath with white orchids and the hotel staff help to decorate a jungle gondola with water lilies and a lotus torch in the middle and a local boatman rowed it with the bride sitting on the front all the way to the hotel’s deck where the groom was waiting. Some other special activities I can plan are private dinners by waterfalls, private Caribbean cooking classes, dozens of candles lighting your room when you return from dinner with a hot Jacuzzi ready to end the evening in complete relaxation, a couples massage with one of the best views of the Pacific Ocean, an active outdoor experience with a gourmet picnic in the cloud forest, these are just some ideas that can create memories that will last a lifetime.

Because of location, service and settings some of my favorite hotels for honeymoons and romantic getaways are Lapa Rios Ecolodge, Hotel Punta Islita, Latitute 10, Arenas del Mar Beachfront and Rainforest Resort, Hotel Capitan Suizo, Kura Design Villas, Arenal Nayara, Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, Xandari Plantations, Hacienda Tayutic and Pacuare Lodge. (Costa Rica accommodations)

The perfect honeymoon vacation you've always imagined is here! Stop dreaming and make it happen today!
