A Honeymoon to Remember in Chile and Patagonia
The Carolans got married in September and decided that our Epic Chile Adventure was just the way to start off their lives together! They customized the itinerary by adding trips to the wine region outside Santiago and Argentinian Patagonia on top of the Atacama desert, Torres del Paine, and Santiago. It was truly an epic trip to start off what we'...

Signing Off the Season in Patagonia

Signing Off the Season in Patagonia
As Patagonia’s trekking season comes to a close this year, Wildland Adventurers alumni Lynn and Lawrence, report back in after spending the final days of their trip to Patagonia  in the Fitz Roy area of Argentine Patagonia.   Lynn enthusiastically recounts, “We absolutely adored the trip and we LOVED the trekking! We know that many people are weary about traveling to Patagonia at the very end and beginning of the season, but it was perfect- there were hardly any tourists and mostly locals, who were eager to interact with us and make suggestions of local hot spots in El Chalten; the restaurants in this town are great! Our drivers in and out of El Chalten were also great and made everything easy and we loved our hotel.” This ambitious couple...

Balancing Rugged and Luxury in Chilean Patagonia

Balancing Rugged and Luxury in Chilean Patagonia
Traci and Denise returned recently from a custom trip to Chile . They wanted time to do more challenging trekking in Torres del Paine but also indulge in the luxury that Patagonia Camp has to offer. They ultimately tackled the famous W-trek using Eco-Camp as their base and spent 4 nights in lavish yurts at Patagonia Camp . Beginning and ending in Santiago, they had a magnificent adventure that truly allowed them to soak up the very best of Torres del Paine and Chile’s vibrant capital. Traci and Denise share their experience below: “Gretchen, Patagonia was amazing!! We have traveled with Wildland before and appreciate your quality of the service. It took some tweaking to get the "perfect" trip planned but you were successful. Patagonia Camp and Eco Camp are both wonderful and very different. Being in the park itself at Eco Camp was wonderful. Our guides in Patagonia Camp changed...

Crafting your own itinerary is really the way to go!

Crafting your own itinerary is really the way to go!
Marilyn and Steve, along with their friends Tom and Betlyn, just returned from a customized adventure exploring the top sites of Patagonia . Beginning in Santiago, they continued on to a luxurious and active jaunt in Torres del Paine at Explora Lodge, glacier viewing in El Calafate, sunset sailing in Bariloche and finishing in Buenos Aires with time to catch a live jazz show and test out their tango skills! Marilyn recounts their experience below. “I am just now getting a moment to write about the trip…Bottom-line: it was fabulous! The concept of crafting an itinerary and identifying where and how much time you spend is really the way to go - I just cannot imagine being “captive” on a scheduled tour anymore! Meeting the local guides at each stop was a real treat - Jorge in Santiago, Fernanda in Buenos Aires, Marissa in Bariloche, Pilar in El Calafate, and of...
