With a new flight route direct from Santiago to Puerto Natales, the wonders of Chilean Patagonia and Torres del Paine are more accessible than ever.  CN Traveler says: It's never really been easy to visit the 935-square-mile Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia, but that's part of what makes tens of thousands of travelers every year endure over 20 hours of travel (each way!) just to see it. This park, all pristine mountains and lakes carved by glaciers, is one of world's great natural wonders and, from this December, it'll be easier to reach than ever before. The South American airline LATAM is set to revive a rare route from Santiago, Chile to Teniente Julio Gallardo Airport in Puerto Natales, the airport nearest Torres del Paine. As Patagonia’s trekking season comes to a close this year, Wildland Adventurers alumni Lynn and Lawrence, report back in after spending the final days of their trip to Patagonia in the Fitz Roy area of Argentine Patagonia.   Lynn enthusiastically recounts, “We absolutely adored the trip and we LOVED the trekking! We know that many people are weary about traveling to Patagonia at the very end and beginning of the season, but it was perfect- there were hardly any tourists and mostly locals, who were eager to interact with us and make suggestions of local hot spots in El Chalten; the restaurants in this town are great! Our guide, Shaun, was wonderful! We are very active and got to cover 26 miles in two days around Los Glaciares National Park.
