All three generations had a wonderful time

Guest review for a private family Voyage Among the Dodecanses of Greece and Turkey.

To get straight to the bottom line, the trip was an overwhelming success. It exceeded even my own expectations -- which were very, very high. All three generations had a wonderful time. This was tied for the best trip we have taken with Wildland -- right up there with Peru/Amazon. We all just loved Turkey, and actually are seriously thinking about returning next year to see more of the country. Thanks for planning such an amazing family adventure.

There were so many highlights, but the gulet was probably the best. It was extremely relaxing and unstructured, and there was something to do for everyone. The crew really pampered us. There were lots of long faces in our group when our week on the gulet came to an end.

Another highlight was the Nisanyan Village Hotel we stayed in while visiting Ephesus. The hostess was absolutely lovely -- several of us enjoyed her cooking class. The grounds were magnificent, and the cottage-rooms very unique. The geographical setting reminded me quite a bit of Tuscany -- very beautiful place.

Deniz was just a first rate guide. He was managing a group with three generations traveling, which is no small task. He made the extra effort to see that each person had a unique and enjoyable trip -- including taking us all to a hookah bar, taking my 80-year old mother for a motorcycle ride (which she loved) and taking my 18-year old son cliff diving.  He was just excellent.

We did the Capadocia add-on, which I would highly recommend. The balloon ride was the highlight of the entire trip for several members of our group and the geography was just so interesting and unique.

Food was absolutely outstanding and there was too much of it!

Turkey was at the top of my list; the itinerary covered many different sights in Turkey. There was a good combination of more relaxed, less structured time (the gulet) and busier, more structured time (the time on land); and I thought the itinerary would appeal to the three generations that were traveling.
