John has ventured out, often on the road less traveled, with only his backpack the last 10 years after graduating from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in communication. He has ridden elephants and taken cooking classes in Thailand; made a photo journal of the street art and graffiti he found in the Spanish towns of Valencia and Granada; found camel heads for sale (but declined to purchase) in the street markets of Morocco, and played soccer with the kids in the streets. He has traveled throughout Mexico, and into the Central American countries of Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. John started in Wildland’s operations department in August 2013, but will still take time off to venture out once in awhile.
