A Honeymoon to Remember in Chile and Patagonia

A Honeymoon to Remember in Chile and Patagonia

They customized the itinerary by adding trips to the wine region outside Santiago and Argentinian Patagonia on top of the Atacama desert, Torres del Paine, and Santiago. It was truly an epic trip to start off what we'...

Journal About Your Travel for Richer Memories

Journal About Your Travel for Richer Memories
Our guest blogger is Dave Fox, author of several books on travel writing and an experienced travel guide. Wildland Adventures is thrilled to be working with Dave Fox on an upcoming hosted tour Vietnam: Travel Writing with Dave Fox. The journey will begin in the south in Ho Chi Minh City. You'll spend a few days getting a taste of rural Vietnamese life in the Mekong Delta before flying to Hanoi in the north. The trip will conclude with two days cruising on a private junk boat through Halong Bay. Of course, Dave will infuse the journey with his writing expertise, deep knowledge of Vietnam and witty humor. For more details on the trip, email our Vietnam Program Director or call (800)345-4453. Our vacations are often short, yet we invest a lot of time and money into making them happen. Why? Because a two-week vacation lasts a lot longer than two weeks. The...

How to be a Romantic Traveler

Mountains, Roses and Champagne: 30th Anniversary in Chile

Mountains, Roses and Champagne: 30th Anniversary in Chile
Alumni travelers, Jim and Laurie celebrated their 30th anniversary by doing a custom 8-day trip to Chile. Beginning in Santiago, they then flew down to Torres del Paine and stayed at the romatnic Patagonia Camp while hiking amongst the iconic peaks of this national park and ended at the luxurious Singular Hotel outside of Puerto Natales. “The Singular Hotel is a fantastic place- we have never stayed in a museum before and it is certainly a combination of a historic building with wonderfully preserved machinery and a very nice modern contemporary hotel. Our stay at Patagonia Camp was wonderful- although one night the winds were so strong we thought we might awake in Kansas. People at Patagonia Camp for the 5 days before our arrival never saw the mountains and we were afraid of the same fate since the forecast was very bad. The first day (Tuesday) was 100 kph winds and a very...
