What a wonderful safari in Tanzania

What a wonderful safari in Tanzania
Working with Wildland Adventures and Jeff was a pleasure. All questions were promptly answered in the planning stages and we were thoroughly prepared for the adventure of a lifetime. We had the right clothes, equipment, and medical preparation. I have never been so well prepared for travel to a specific destination as I was for our safari in Tanzania. There were many highlights and glorious moments - witnessing the birth of a wildebeest, watching a pride of nine lions feasting on a giraffe, watching a hippo saunter by our vehicle, hearing George's exact replication of specific animal sounds, being surrounded by elephants crossing the road, and so many others. Samson and George were phenomenal at spotting animals and birds that were far away. I cannot say enough good words about our guides. They were the stars of our experience in that they added a much greater dimension to the animals, birds, places,...

The Safari That Changed My Life

The Safari That Changed My Life
We originally went on a Wildland Adventures trip to Tanzania in 2002. It would be a vast understatement to say that our Wildland Adventure to Africa changed my life.As a child, I had watched Wild Kingdom and other nature programs on TV, but I never imagined that I might one day travel to Africa. We spent two weeks exploring the Northern Circuit of game parks beginning with Sinya, a private game reserve and ending with six days in the Serengeti. Part of the time we were also accompanied by a Maasai...

Never in my Wildest Dreams

Never in my Wildest Dreams
A short message we got from Diana D. on her Wildland Adventrues Serengeti Wilderness Safari in Tanzania."I have to say that in all my 'wildest' dreams, I never thought I would actually see a real kill on my trip to Africa. We watched this lioness stalk her prey and before the gazelle knew what happened...... Our guide, Ridas, said it's almost impossible to actually witness such an event. Thanks for the best adventure yet!"Making dreams come true, that's what we do! Have a dream adventure that you want to turn into reality? Contact us and let us make it happen. Here are some more photos from Diana's Seregenti Wilderness SafariKeeping it wild,Wildland Adventures

A Seattle Family, Tanzanian Orphans, and a Van

A Seattle Family, Tanzanian Orphans, and a Van
A story of how miracles can happenWhen the Whitaker family approached me about an opportunity to give back during her Serengeti Family Safari I was happy to help. What transpired turned into one of the best fairy tale charity stories I’ve had the privilege of being a part of during my career. A real organic outpouring of community spirit inspired by one family’s generosity and desire to directly improve the lives of others. When a family or group of travelers is interested in making a charitable donation in Tanzania, we often set up a visit to a rural school district. However, the Whitaker family was traveling over the Christmas holiday time period when many of the schools are closed and the children are at home. Through a local colleague we found Elias Japhet and the Pambazuko Orphanage, which he and his wife have been running in the small agricultural town of Mto Wa Mbu...
