This June I'm heading to East Africa and visiting our camps and lodges in Tanzania and Kenya, scouting new adventure opportunities, re-connecting with our local guides, and re-discovering firsthand why this is the premier safari destination in Africa! I'm really excited to be going back to some of the destinations that initially sparked my love for Africa and checking out new options that just might spark yours!
Over the course of 4 weeks, I'll cover hundreds of miles and visit Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area, Serengeti National Park, Amboseli National Park, Mount Kenya National Park and the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. I'll be staying in unique and award-winning lodges and camps like The Highlands at Ngorongoro, our mobile tented camp in the Serengeti that follows the Great Migration, and Kisima Ngeda on the shores of Lake Eyasi: a seasonal soda lake abutting the Alipi escarpment.
You can follow my adventure on Wildland Adventure's Facebook page and Instagram (@wildtravel) pages as I post updates from the bush while stalking wildlife on foot, hunting with the Hadzabe bushmen, living in a remote Maasai village (while hanging out with these guys), scaling the craggy slopes of Mount Kenya and gathering information on how to create the best Africa experiences for Wildland guests.
Here's a link to an interactive map where you can check out my route, planned destinations and some of the cool accommodations I'll be staying at. It's sure to be an adventure!
Stay tuned for much, much more!
