The Reynolds family decided a trip to Costa Rica would be the perfect present for their daughter, who just graduated with a biology degree. They wanted to experience the rainforest and see wildlife so our Into the Wilds of the Osa Peninsula was a perfect fit for them. They had a wonderful trip and shared their highlights with us upon return:
"We had the time of our lives on this trip! I don't generally use travel companies but I'm glad I did on this one. There were lots of logistics and I really did not have the time to plan it myself. I'm really glad I chose Wildland as it took the worry and stress out of the trip. The entire process was effortless because of the people involved. Grettel and the rest of the staff were so quick to answer any inquiries or questions I had and were very professional and informative. I really enjoyed working with Grettel; it felt like I was working with an old friend to organize my trip. She is very thoughtful and genuine. I always felt like I was very well taken care of and I knew that she would handle everything. Every single thing part was spectacular and completely exceeded our expectations. Osa was stunning and so remote, quiet, and pristine. We had so many amazing highlights each day, each one more special than the next."
"Every single guide we had on the trip was absolutely professional, knowledgeable, and fun. We particularly liked Walter for the Sirena hike, He was so enthusiastic and passionate and you could tell he really enjoyed what he did. On the Sirena hike, we did not see any tapirs, however, when we were sitting having lunch at the station, we spotted a mama tapir and her baby calf walk right by the dining area! The place went absolutely crazy and Walter was in shock, he was so happy. On the boat ride back to Paloma, he was telling us how early it was to see whales, however, we saw an Arctic humpback and her calf swimming, playing, and nursing. We were about 20 feet away from the whales and watched them for about a half an hour. It was magical! Dolphins also guided our snorkel boat to Caño Island, which was so cool."
"La Paloma Lodge was absolutely delightful with such a lovely vibe, gorgeous bungalows, attentive staff, and a beautiful property. We really enjoyed our time there and the food was fantastic. Zip-lining in the jungle was the best we have ever experienced. Kayaking was super as well. They even presented me with a lovely birthday cake and everyone sang with the lights off, it was so sweet!"
"Lapa Rios Eco-Lodge was absolutely off the charts! It has unbelievable views and jaw-dropping beauty. The first night we had a troop of spider monkeys with babies set up camp in the tree next to our deck. It was unbelievable! There seems to be much more wildlife there and we didn't even have to go anywhere to see it. We did a few hikes and they were so informative and very enjoyable. Horseback riding was also one of the best rides we have ever experienced. The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. Jeffrey, our guide at Lapa Rios, was very good as well. He told us so many interesting facts and had a great sense of humor. Our horseback riding guide Julio, was also wonderful and he was very enthusiastic about his country."
"We never had one bad meal or one bad cup of coffee the entire time we were in Costa Rica. The food everywhere was absolutely wonderful, healthy, and there was a lovely variety. We particularly enjoyed the fresh fish that was available every day."
"It was such a treat to be there and my daughter was over the moon with all she experienced. Thank you so much for organizing all of this for us as it was truly the trip of a lifetime. We will come back again and again. So much more to experience, Pura Vida." - R. Reynolds
