After the rush of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes a breath of fresh air - Giving Tuesday - a day to give back, whether it's with your time, talent or money. One way we love to give back is through supporting conservation efforts in the countries we visit. This year alone, our travelers have already given over $7,000 through our Travelers Conservation Fund and the year's not even over yet! Here are just a few of the amazing organizations that you are supporting by traveling with us and who you can also support today, on Giving Tuesday!
The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International is dedicated to the conservation, protection and study of gorillas and their habitats in Africa. The best way to save endangered species and conduct effective conservation is with direct, sustained protection in the wild. This is the foundation of their work and why mountain gorillas are the only wild ape whose population is growing. They also believe that working with and helping local communities is crucial to effective and sustainable conservation. Only when people are thriving can gorillas, other wildlife and their habitats thrive, too. DONATE HERE

BSBCC is currently home to 44 rescued sun bears. Sun bears in the wild face threats from deforestation, commercial hunting and the pet trade. All bears at the centre are orphaned and/or ex-captive bears. Sun bears are the least researched bear species in the world and on-going research is key to increasing this species protection.
