Wildland Adventures Supports Conservacion Patagonica

We were founded on the principle that culturally and environmentally responsible travel can be a powerful force for change. Tourism should contribute to conservation and benefit local communities. All trips with Wildland Adventures include a donation by which our travelers can support local conservation initiatives and small-scale community development projects. This link between adventure travel, conservation, and sustainable development is something we're proud of every day.

Arcilio Sepulveda, head puma tracker, formerly hunted pumas when the Chacabuco Valley was a sheep ranch. Now, he puts his knowledge of these animals to use for conservation.

Patagonia is synonymous with natural, wild space and we are proud to support Conservacion Patagonica through our trips to Patagonia. In just the first 3 months of 2017, we donated over $1,000 to the fund

Conservacion Patagonica works to create national parks in Patagonia that save and restore wildlands and wildlife, inspire care for the natural world, and generate healthy economic opportunities for local communities.

In the foundation's own words: We love Patagonia: it's one of the wildest places left on Earth, where there's a chance to protect ecosystems at scale and demonstrate how conservation can benefit communities. Yet this region has come under attack, as outside industries seek to exploit these precious natural resources for short-term gain. Looking globally, we see that the loss of biodiversity and the destruction of ecosystems threaten to eliminate thousands of species and destabilize the ecosystems on which humanity depends. As conservation biologists affirm, our best shot at reversing this trend is to protect large tracts of habitat areas, recover damaged ecosystems, and work with local communities

We couldn't agree more which is why we're so proud of the contributions we make every year to this organization.
