Laurie and Jean returned from our Panama Canal: the Unbound Story adventure where they explored the wildlife, local culture and the world's most important navigable waterway - the Panama Canal. Here are their highlights:
"I wanted to travel to Panama and enjoy the country without going on a cruise ship, so I chose Wildland's Panama Canal Adventure because my past trips with them have been excellent. I Ioved the dugout canoe trip, the Embera Indian location and learning about the Embera Indian tribe. I enjoyed everything on the canal. We went through the second set of locks with a huge freighter and a small sail boat and I learned a lot from Gus, our guide, who was very informative. Hiking and watching for wildlife was a great experience with our guide Hernán, who was so knowledgeable and he made the trip very special. He was an excellent. guide and knew a lot about so many aspects of Panama. We were very fortunate to have him all week and I would highly recommend him to other travelers." - Laurie B.
"The trip exceeded my expectations. I'm usually a free-range traveler and I don't do too many structured tours but I felt it would be suitable for Panama. I really enjoyed the walk in the jungle, Metropolitan Park, the train, the boat ride, the canal picnic, the dugout canoe and the ocean to ocean trip on the canal. Our guide was amazing and had a great depth and breadth of knowledge and passion for Panama. Overall, all the elements met what I was looking for to get an overview of Panama." - Jean C.
