Tanzania and Rwanda were phenomenal

We had a truly phenomenal trip. Each day brought new adventures and sights and none of us can pinpoint one highlight because there were so many. All 6 of us speak very, very highly of George, our driver/guide in Tanzania. He added to our wonderful experience and we all felt that he should be recognized for his professionalism, knowledge, enthusiasm and fun. He has become our friend.

Regarding Tanzania, my husband and I had been before and loved it (2007 with Wildland). But, this trip provided us with a completely different, BETTER experience. George has a lot to do with this and his genuine love for his job, his concern for us to see what we wanted to see (right off the bat on the first full day, he asked us what we wanted to get out of the trip), and his ability to make us feel confident in him.

We really enjoyed the Maasai experience and any opportunities to eat local foods prepared for tourists! We were skeptical at first and made sure to have our boxed lunches just in case, but the preparation of food was safe and the food itself delicious.

Early morning balloon safari in the SerengetiWe highly recommend ballooning in the Serengeti!!! We departed Kati Kati at 5:15am and about 10 minutes into the drive out, a huge male lion slowly walked in front of our jeep eyes glowing in the headlights. Getting into the balloons on our backs brought out laughter which spread to the other groups who joined us in the ride.

Rwanda exceeded our expectations as well. None of us expected to see Kigali so clean, beautiful and growing as it is with paved/smooth roads. Our guide was very knowledgeable, too, and we thoroughly enjoyed our services here, too. The gorilla trek was mind blowing. We trekked to the Sabyinyo group, the 'easiest' and 'shortest' trek at that time.

Thank you for planning such a great safari for us.
