What a wonderful safari in Tanzania

What a wonderful safari in Tanzania

Working with Wildland Adventures and Jeff was a pleasure. All questions were promptly answered in the planning stages and we were thoroughly prepared for the adventure of a lifetime. We had the right clothes, equipment, and medical preparation. I have never been so well prepared for travel to a specific destination as I was for our safari in Tanzania.

There were many highlights and glorious moments - witnessing the birth of a wildebeest, watching a pride of nine lions feasting on a giraffe, watching a hippo saunter by our vehicle, hearing George's exact replication of specific animal sounds, being surrounded by elephants crossing the road, and so many others. Samson and George were phenomenal at spotting animals and birds that were far away. I cannot say enough good words about our guides. They were the stars of our experience in that they added a much greater dimension to the animals, birds, places, and culture. They were both thoroughly professional, patient, tireless, and extremely knowledgeable educators. I thought they were quite remarkable in every way. Our experience leads us to believe they are both good, substantive men of honor and caring. We would gladly welcome them into our home.

I love Maramboi Camp and hope to return to it one day for a more relaxed stay. It was beautiful and the design brought nature and the animals right to our doorstep. The accommodations were excellent and the food was plentiful, tasty, satisfying, and beautifully served. Tarangire was wonderful and we had incredible animal experiences there. At one point our vehicle was completely surrounded by elephants of all sizes. Ndutu and the Serengeti were extra special and my favorite. We truly felt a part of the natural surroundings and it was glorious. The tents were quite lovely, the in-tent toilets much appreciated, and the one bucket showers really fun. The staff were welcoming and the service excellent. The food was the best of the entire trip!

My top priorities in Tanzania were to see as many animals as possible and to have time to experience them in their natural habitat. That desire was met in full measure all along the way. I don’t know when our next adventure to Africa will be, but we will most certainly travel again to travel with Wildland Adventures!
